Honey Cake




Place butter, sugar, honey and water into saucepan and heat gently, stirring all the time.

When fat has melted remove from heat and allow contents to cool to blood temperature.

Gradually beat in the eggs.

Add sieved flour and mix until smooth. Do not over mix.

Turn into a well greased 7 inch round tin and bake on middle shelf for one hour in preheated oven (350°F/180°C).

Allow to cool a little then turn out onto wired cake stand and leave to cool.


6oz. Clear Honey

4oz. Soft Brown Sugar

7oz. Self-Raising Flour


5oz. Butter

1 Tablespoon Water

2 Eggs
